In my series of pictures, I am going to be taking pictures of abstract nature to show the hidden beauties of things around us. This relates to me personally because I love taking shots of nature and finding new things around me that are interesting to look at. In my photos, I am going to use macro, contrast, abstraction, and texture to help demonstrate my ideas.

Week 1
In this set of photos I was taking photos of beautiful things that people don't always appreciate. I'm still trying to find pictures that contrast it in a technology object or a man-made object.
I really love the first rose photo, and the last photo; they are both very pretty. Maybe experiment with close up shots of unusual things that people usually would not notice!
I think you actually chose items that most people DO find beautiful (flowers, sunsets, the moon). I think it would be good to try to take pictures of objects that are more unusual. I would also avoid centering on the page. I would use more diagonal lines and avoid static lines and strong verticals. I would also try more extreme eye levels.

ReplyDeleteI love your chair lift mountian photo. The sun's interaction with the lighting and lenseflairs is very pretty.

ReplyDeleteI love the point of view on the first picture, it gives the rose more dimension. The sun through the trees at the mountain is also really cool.
